Flexible autonomous energy systems for smart textiles
The aim of the project is to create an innovative platform designed to collect and preserve energy for low-power applications in smart textiles. The research is directed at low-cost, thin, and flexible energy sources produced by R2R technologies. The innovative approach lies in connecting energy sources – particularly solar cells with accumulation systems, super-capacitors and batteries – on flexible substrates with the intention of ensuring sufficient energy for smart textile systems and disposable or short-term use products.
